During his
years at The School of Visual Arts, his major area of concentration
was his drawing from life. This interest led him to develop an interesting
and somewhat classical style which is particularly well-suited for work
in the area of naturalist art. He has exhibited his paintings and prints
at many museums, galleries and expositions, including The Newark Museum,
New Jersey, The Newark Library, The New York State Museum and The Montreal
Print Fair. He is also active in land conservation and has been directly
responsible for the preservation of somewhere close to 20,000 acres
of land near to his residence in northern New Jersey.
Currently
Pieter has been commissioned by the National Rifle Association to
produce art on the American Eagle. He continues to exhibit in New
Jersey.
