Hi, my name is Helen Grossman. I like to paint, read books, and learning a new form of art and techniques.

In 2001 I discovered world of soft sculpturing (doll making) and since then I am living here. I love to learn and experiment with different medias like clay, paper, beads, gourds, different paint and surfaces and it is always something new here to learn. Some of my work was published in a few magazines such as Art Doll Quarterly, Soft Doll and Animals, and Doll Crafter and Costuming. I also belong to Doll guild (CNYDAG) that had a few exhibitions in New York of which I was a part.

Back in Ukraine where I was born and raised I learned decorative folk art style of painting called Petrikivka, named after village it was born. In some of my dolls I like to incorporate folk art painting.

I also like to create mixed-media pieces where I incorporated my love to painting and playing with different media and surfaces.

I always put my heart and feeling in each piece I create and hope you will like them as much as I like to create.
